This authors of this web page are dedicated to advancing the ongoing development
and implementation of the Structure-Information Representation class of
molecular structure descriptors. The evolution of these structure indices
by developers, Dr. Lemont B. Kier and Dr. Lowell H. Hall has taken place
over a 30 year period and has seen a number of exciting developments and
successes. It is the intent of the authors that the material offered
on these pages will help to continue the productive advancement of the
fields of science in which molecular structure indices are utilized.
This site will provide information about the science behind SIR structure
descriptors and serve as a repository for supplemental material that may
be accessed by the scientific community. We will also provide information about
commercial products that implement SIR molecular structure description, including
our own Molconn software which has been used to calculate SIR descriptor
indices
